چکیده
The Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) aims to enhance global understanding and action on climate disaster resilient infrastructure (DRI) through knowledge creation, curation dissemination. In this direction, CDRI organized its first DRI Technical Conference 12–13 October 2022 in New Delhi, India. was complemented by a Special Issue of the journal Sustainable (Taylor & Francis), officially launched at COP 27 Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. two complimenting initiatives – special issue are targeted create lasting contributions towards mainstreaming agenda. publication both focused ‘Adaptive Pathways Resilience’ as an approach resilience-building before, during after events, from systems perspective. papers presented provided rich evidence insights current state play Adaptive Infrastructure. range actions be explored with member countries, organizations, private sector other partners support resilience.

Resilient Infrastructure
A major challenge in designing resilient infrastructure is to meet the needs of sustainable development (Kennedy & Corfee-Morlot, 2013). Sustainable development requires a high degree of energy efficiency. Municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), in particular, have the potential to be much more sustainable. In the U.S., 3 – 4% of the total energy consumed is dedicated to WWTPs and drinki...
متن کاملResilient infrastructure for network security
Present day network security mechanisms are based on preventing attacks and responding to them as they occur. In the time before a response is implemented the attack is generally free to damage the system. Since responses are usually human driven, this time is long and the damage can be large. One way to minimise this damage is to create “resilient infrastructure”. This is infrastructure that a...
متن کاملSustainable Hazard Mitigation: Exploring the Importance of Green Infrastructure in Building Disaster Resilient Communities
Natural disasters continue to plague the United States, undermining the nation’s ability to build disaster resilient communities. Although structural and non-structural mitigation measures are currently in place to lessen the impact natural disasters have on society, little attention has been given to the construction of green infrastructure as a sustainable hazard mitigation strategy. The purp...
متن کاملDisaster = Infrastructure + Hazard
We describe a framework for relating available data on hazards to impact on infrastructure. It is designed to be used by simulation platforms that may focus on a single infrastructure layer or aim to study interactions between interdependent layers. The Hazard Impact Framework (HIF) provides a flexible scheme for capturing and maintaining data on the response of elements of critical infrastruct...
